In a piece of nostalgia-driven engineering as awesome as it is pointless, here’s a 512k Mac upgraded to run Mac OS X (by replacing its logic board with an entire Mac Mini).

  1. Holy fucking… fuck.

I’m not sure my mind could take playing around on that thing.

Now, of course, if someone could get OS X running on original 512k hardware, _that_ would be a feat! ;)

  2. Wow, that’s very cool! But very little of the original 512k hardware was actually used. Outer enclosure, keyboard and mouse. But it sure brought back fond memories of discovering the wonderful Mac experience. Double click a document and it magically opens the right app. How’d it do that??? :-)
