End of an era: Microsoft is apparently going to stop offering 100% health coverage.

  1. This is what happens to companies once bean counters take over.
They start looking for ways to make a few extra bucks regardless of the impact. Walmart & HomeDepot have gone to the self checkouts in order to shave a few million from payrolls and benefits costs. The hit to employee morale isn’t something that shows on a bottom line or financial reports so it doesn’t matter.
Then they shave few points off what they cover for health care – instead of 100% it’s 80% and they save a few million more.
