Whistler got about 10 cm of snow last night, so we all woke up early to go play in it. Due to one happenstance or another we got separated early and were unable to reconnect, so I spent the day solo. I basically found one set of runs I liked and stuck to them, pushing harder over the course of the day. I was pretty tired by three-thirty so I went down to the Longhorn Grill at the base and sat around drinking beer and glühwein with Dave P. and Erin R. It was a good day. I feel great except my left big toe hurts.

Candace and Eva are in the kitchen cooking something. I’m not sure what it is but its preparation seems to involve a great deal of hilarity. In the living room we have a hookah and some mellow groovy music and a lot of shared stories about the day’s adventures.

  1. The temperature hit 107F today. You know I didn’t realise until about ten minutes ago that Whistler was in Canada? Remind me to tell you my Canada story, the next time we speak.

I envy you your snow to play in. Here it is so hot and bright that even the flies are still, even if you wanted to play in dust. ;)
