Red Echo

I am back home. Seattle appears to be largely as I left it.

I have brought back a sleek black MacBook, as yet unnamed, to replace Serena, my ancient, aged Titanium PowerBook.

  1. Congrats on the MacBook! I upgraded my trusty first gen TiPB to a MacBook last year and it’s been sooo much faster. Max out memory for sure. Only downside is that Classic doesn’t run on Intel so I still have to fire up the TiPB occasionally.

PS Thanks for fixing the x86 exception issue!

  2. Yeah, there’s a second gigabyte of RAM on its way. I haven’t done any real performance benchmarks yet, but this little laptop feels like it could give my G5 tower “Dreadnought” a run for its money. It’s already displaced the 17″ iMac I’d been using for Intel testing.
